Gregory M. Hanley

Gregory HanleyWith over 25 years of experience in local and state government, Plymouth County Commissioner Gregory M. Hanley was first elected November 7, 2012, and comes to the County of Plymouth with a diversified background in business and charitable public service. Mr. Hanley was re-elected successively in 2016, and 2020.

A former Quincy City Councilor, Commissioner Hanley is an executive in the plumbing industry. He has served the residents of the Town of Pembroke in an appointed capacity, chairing the Zoning Board of Appeals, The Recreation Commission, and Wage and Personnel Board from 2003 - 2007, and in elected capacity from 2010 - 2013 as Chairman of the Board of Selectmen for the Town of Pembroke, and as Commissioner on the Pembroke Housing Authority.

In addition to his duties as Commissioner, Greg Hanley serves as Chairman of the Finance and Facilities Committee of the Board of Governors of Quincy Colleges and serves as the Recording Secretary of the MA County Commissioner’s Association. Chairman Hanley is a 1987 graduate of Norwich University and resides in the Town of Plymouth.
